As the lead strategist for Greenwood CVB, I shaped a campaign that highlighted the city’s central role in Civil Rights history, from the story of Emmett Till to the nationwide impact of leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. By identifying and targeting history enthusiasts, educators, and adult travelers seeking immersive cultural experiences, we crafted storytelling that connected audiences to these pivotal moments. Using Greenwood as a base, visitors explore historic sites, vibrant arts and culinary offerings, and key Delta landmarks within an hour’s drive. Across print, social, and digital channels, the campaign blended narrative-driven content with strategic audience targeting, raising awareness of the region’s profound history while driving engagement and visitation.
